What is Coaching?

And How Can It Help Me?

What is coaching?

Coaching is an evidence-based, interdisciplinary practice.

Everyone who comes to coaching has different goals and needs – coaching in particular can help when people are trying to move forward or through something in their lives, when they are trying to make decisions, going through a transition, working on a project, or trying to develop new habits.

It can give a person space to reflect, to gain clarity and to consider their values and how they are applying those values in their lives.

Who do I work with?

I aim to work in particular with those in higher education - students, post-docs, lecturers, professors, researchers, etc.

What can I help with?

For students in particular, coaching can help with working on study skills, time management, writing, teaching, publication, setting and completing goals, accountability, balance, organisation and next steps.

For those working in higher education, coaching can help with career decisions, project management and tenure planning as well as all the things it can help students with too.

How do we get started?

I offer a free, thirty minute, no obligation exploration session to work out if coaching is right for you, if I am the right person for you to take this step with, and you can ask any questions you might have.
